Colleen manages a diverse labour and employment practice, providing counsel on policy development, employment contracts and termination packages, collective bargaining and mediation, while also providing numerous training seminars for employers. She has implemented attendance management policies that have resulted in substantial client savings, reduced employer liability on terminations due to employment contract language, assisted employers in managing ill, disabled and alcoholic employees, drafted computer abuse policies and monitored and managed employee terminations. Former Vice-President, Board of Directors and Chair of the Human Resources Committee of the Youth Services Bureau of Ottawa-Carleton, Colleen has also been a guest lecturer at the County of Carleton Law Association, the Ottawa Carleton Research Institute, Algonquin College and Ottawa University.
