David focuses his employment law practice on matters of workers’ compensation, occupational safety, disability, accommodation, human rights and labour relations. A graduate of the University of Toronto and Osgoode Hall Law School, David was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1988. Outside of private practice, David heard workers’ compensation appeals in Ontario for over five years and has been a public policy consultant on workers’ compensation in Ontario, Nova Scotia and British Columbia. David provides education, advice and advocacy to a diverse clientele including small employers and large national organizations. David appears at boards, tribunals and courts on his clients’ behalf and was successful in an important federal labour law case at the Supreme Court of Canada in 2006. A prolific public speaker, David is a sessional member of the Faculty of Law at Queen's University, has provided executive education for the Rotman and Sprott business schools and is a frequent guest lecturer at universities and colleges. His community and national involvement includes membership on several community Boards and as past Chair of Government Relations for the Canadian Council of Human Resources Associations.
