After practicing labour and employment law with a large Halifax firm, Kecia joined Emond Harnden as an Associate in 2003. Called to the bars of Nova Scotia (2001) and Ontario (2003), Kecia practices in all areas of labour and employment law. ecia has represented private and public sector employers in labour arbitration, workers’ compensation, human rights and employment standards matters, as well as appearing before numerous arbitrators and before the courts. With such diverse range of expertise, Kecia is often called upon to advise clients on issues pertaining to employment contracts, policy review and development, union grievances, Employment Standards and Human Rights compliance, wrongful dismissal actions and settlement negotiations.
